Overview
Space Dementia is inspired by a homonymic fictional mental disorder that causes psychological instability to astronauts isolated from the human society in the outer space. It narrates the story of an astronaut who loses contact to Earth and gradually goes insane.

This interactive animation brings active participation into passive viewing of 2D moving images. It tracks audiences’ motions and transforms these data into audio feedback. Following the storyline of the animation, audiences will receive instructions to move their arms to imitate the protagonist astronaut’s movement, thus changing the responsive audio accompanying the animation.
